Columbine High School Band Booster Club, Inc.
Alumni Scholarship Fund Policy

Purpose of Alumni Scholarship Fund:

The Alumni Scholarship Fund was created to help students fund trips or any other student activity deemed appropriate by the Executive Council.

Process for applying for Alumni Scholarship Fund:

Written applications will be submitted to the Band Director, who will use a blinded process when presenting them to the Executive Council for consideration.  Each application should state the need and why the student is requesting assistance.  It should also note any fundraising efforts the student has undertaken.  If no fundraising has been done, the reason for this should be included in the application.  Applications will be approved or denied and monies will be distributed by a vote of the Executive Council.

Funding for Alumni Scholarship Fund:

The Alumni Scholarship Fund may be funded by direct donations or by designated earnings from any fundraising effort, e.g., when Mr. X works at Fiddlers Green, he designates his share of the earnings to go to the Alumni Scholarship Fund rather than a student travel account.

The Executive Council of the Columbine High School Band Booster Club, Inc. has adopted this policy effective January 7, 2003.
