Cavalcade of Music
May 2 – Colorado Springs

         The overnight trip planned to Colorado Springs for the Cavalcade of Music has been cancelled due to lack of student participation.  Any checks submitted for the trip deposit will be returned to the student.  Parents/guardians, please make sure that you get your check from your student!

         All band and orchestra students will still participate in the Music Festival in Colorado Springs on Friday, May 2.  The tentative plan for the day includes travel down and back via school buses with a lunch and dinner stop.  Buses will leave early to mid-morning and return mid evening (exact times yet to be determined).

         Performance Times:
         Band: 3:30 pm
         Orchestra: 4:30 pm

         Students will be excused for the relevant portion of the school day on Friday, May 2.  The only cost of the trip is that students will need to purchase their own or bring their own lunch and dinner.  The instrumental music program is NOT providing meals for this trip.  Trip paperwork with the exact itinerary will be distributed to the students on April 2nd and will be due April 4th.

         We will need several parent volunteers on the buses.  Please contact me or Mr. Rausch as soon as possible if you would like to serve as a chaperone for the trip.  Spring sports participants need to make arrangements NOW with Mr. Rausch.  Please see him as soon as possible with any conflicts regarding the trip.
